Click on the book now button. You will be directed to the scheduling platform called IntakeQ, which will guide you through the process. IntakeQ will send you a confirmation email, followed by the new patient packet. These forms need to be completed 24 hours prior to your appointment to allow the physician time to review.

OMT is a set of techniques used by Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine to diagnose, treat and prevent illness and injury. Using OMT, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) moves a patient’s muscles and joints using techniques including stretching, gentle pressure and resistance.
-
Both types of manipulation involve moving the tissues of the body, however the techniques and treatment plans are different. Chiropractors regularly use x-rays for diagnosis and focus on the spine, whereas DO’s rely upon diagnostic methods that minimize your exposure to radiation and examine the entire body. DO’s allow more time for the body to rebalance after treatment, so appointments are spaced out a little further. In general, OMT techniques are more gentle than many chiropractic techniques. In addition, DO’s are medical doctors, meaning they attended medical school and completed a residency.

Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change itself in response to stimuli and experiences. Stated simply, it is the process of learning. Neuroplastic symptoms are real symptoms (such as pain) that have been created and learned by the brain, and are not a result of damage in the body.
When high levels of stress are not fully recognized, the brain (“Neuro”) can generate real pain or illness anywhere in the body. This occurs in many people with strong, healthy minds and affects one in five adults and two in five patients. Fortunately, these symptoms can be changed (“plastic”).
Examples include back pain, neck pain, chronic fatigue, long COVID, IBS, fibromyalgia, migraines, tension headaches, pelvic pain, dizziness/vertigo, heartburn, interstitial cystitis, functional neurologic disorders and more.

At Serenity, we believe medical decisions should be made between a patient and their physician. As such, we provide direct care, meaning we partner directly with our patients, not insurance companies. This allows us to provide specialty care services without surprise bills and without the constraints of third parties. Upon request, we can provide a superbill after the service, that you may use to apply for reimbursement from your insurance.
At this time, we are unable to schedule any patients who are covered under a Medicare plan, in order to stay compliant with federal law. This includes patients who have a non-Medicare secondary plan. If you are interested in services from Serenity Osteopathic Medicine, please join our Medicare waitlist and we will let you know when availability opens up.

Payment may be made by credit card or debit card.
We accept all major credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
We also accept HSA/FSA cards, as long as they are issued by one of the major card brands (Visa, Discover, Mastercard, or Amex). However, it's also MCC (merchant chain code) dependent. If the MCC doesn't align with a business that should be accepting HSA/FSAs, it could fail.

As such, your appointment time has been reserved just for you, and unexpected cancellations hurt the practice and drive costs up for all. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancellation within 24 hours or a no-show requires payment in full to the card on file.

We take an integrative approach to treating your pain. This means we consider a myriad of treatment options, which may occasionally include medication, however, our aim is to treat your pain so that medications are no longer needed. Refills for medications prescribed at SOM will be addressed at appointments. We will not refill any medications from another physician and do not prescribe controlled substances, including medical marijuana.
